All payments will be paid in FULL and CASH when you take the car. To ensure vehicle availability, it is recommended that you book before and that you have received a booking confirmation. We provide free of charge for the Airport, Seaport, and Stone Town PICK-UP & DROP-OFF. For any other location please ask for a quotation first.

The renter or authorized driver must be over 18 years of age and under 70 years of age. The renter or authorized driver must have a full and valid driving license. The license must bear no current endorsements during the last two years.

Driving Permit is MANDATORY and it is a requirement of the Government of Zanzibar. All foreign drivers must have a Zanzibar Temporary Driving Permit. This applies even if the driver holds an International driver's license. The cost is US$10.00 per driver. This can be processed by us in advance. After making a confirmed booking submit a scanned copy of your National Driving License and we will process this for you. We can arrange driving permits with only 3 hours' notice if you are making a last-minute booking.

All vehicles have a minimum amount of fuel at the beginning of the rental period and should be returned in the same state. If you return the vehicle IN FULL or HALF TANK, you will not be reimbursed for fuel at the end of the period. Rental does not include any fuel allowance unless specifically agreed with us in writing before the commencement of the rental period.

The renter is responsible for the security of the vehicle and it’s YOUR responsibility to make sure that the car is parked safely in hotel car parks under watchmen during the night. Most places provide watchmen and car parks. The vehicles must be locked when unattended. Also, remember to fold the side mirrors when your park.

If you cancel your booking:

• 48 hours or more before pick-up, you will be refunded in full.
• Less than 48 hours before pick-up, you will have to pay for a Driving Permit cost as well as 25% of the total cost.
• No refund will be applied for unused rental days.
• If you cancel your booking while you already started your booking you will not be refunded.

• In the case of extra time, the renter will have to pay $5 per hour unless there is another agreement.
• The vehicle must be driven only by the renter or authorized driver. No other drivers are permitted. The authorized driver must have a valid driving license accompanied by a Zanzibar Temporary Driving Permit.
• The vehicle may only be driven on authorized roads and vehicle ways. It is illegal to drive on the beaches of Zanzibar.
• The security of the vehicle will be the responsibility of the renter for the period of the contract.
• If the renter breaks the contract he or she will be required to pay 50% of the agreed total cost. The company can break the contract at any time if it is proved that the renter is not keeping the vehicle in good condition, driving carelessly, or has caused other intentional damage.
• Any damage caused by carelessness must be paid for by the renter.
• Fuel and driving permit are not included in the price.
• Mechanical failure is our responsibility and you will be given a replacement vehicle if your vehicle can not be repaired at the roadside.
